25 YEARS OF NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY: A SILVER ANNIVERSARY

In honor of National Coming Out Day, The Family Tree and community partners are proud to host the 8th Annual National Coming Out Day Gala and Awards Presentation! You're invited to come out for this annual event that celebrates many of the outstanding contributions made by LGBT-supportive individuals, groups and organizations in the Tallahassee area.

Guests at this year's event, held at the Tallahassee Capital Center Hotel, will enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction in a silver-inspired environment with music and photography opportunities, followed by the awards presentation. Originally celebrated in 1988, National Coming Out Day is an internationally observed civil awareness day for coming out and discussion about gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender people (LGBT), and asexuals.

NOMINATE AN INDIVIDUAL, GROUP OR ORGANIZATION!

Members of the community are encouraged to nominate any individual, group or organization who has made a positive difference within the Big Bend Region's LGBT community. Awards are given in the following categories:

  • Community Pride Award
  • Supportive Business Award
  • Founder's Award
  • Entertainer of the Year
